Welcome to the wheel-thrown world of Ceri Cryer, where every pot begins in the mud of a working regenerative farm and ends as a vessel full of story, touch, and quiet joy.
I make pottery that feels alive — tactile, textured, and deeply rooted in the land my family has farmed for four generations. Our closed pedigree Friesian herd gives us rich milk, award-winning cheese, and ash from our hearth. That same earth, fire, and spirit finds its way into each piece I throw.
From comfort mugs etched with whey and glazed in winter sky blue, to butter crocks and cheese domes that echo the rituals of rural life — my work is both functional and soulful. Some pieces are made to be used every day. Others, like my obvara-fired sculptures, are made for galleries and quiet corners of the heart.
This is pottery shaped by hand and heritage.
It’s not just what you drink from — it’s what you hold close
